Global Emissions Tool (AEM)
Your Goal
Acquire the skills to perform a robust global emissions study for fuel burn and emissions using the EUROCONTROL Global Emissions Tool (AEM).
You Are
Working for a CAA, ANSP, airline or for any company involved in gate-to-gate flight operations needing to evaluate the impact of a set of flights on global emissions. You have good knowledge of spreadsheet software (MS Excel or equivalent), database handling (MS Access or equivalent) and you have general knowledge about environmental issues.
Your Instructor
Sandrine Haouzi Carlier
Sandrine has been instrumental in developing the Global Aviation Emissions Studies (GAES) methodology and software support tools over the last ten years. She has been involved in all aspects of the emissions analysis process and has successfully completed several aviation emissions studies using AEM.
Outcome for Attendees
- In-depth knowledge of the GHG tool and how to conduct robust global emissions studies
- Understanding the impact of user options on modelled results
- Learning how to avoid the usual traps encountered while performing these studies
Course Material
- AEM general user manual
Prerequisite

AEM licence from EUROCONTROL
Teaching Methods
Attendees will conduct a GHG study from the start (extracting data from flight profile descriptions) to the end (post-processing of emissions data) with the active support of the instructor.
